"One of the finest young violin talents of the day" as recognized by the legendary pianist György Sándor, hungarian violinist Orsolya Korcsolán is quickly establishing herself as a dynamic recital soloist, versatile chamber musician. Orsolya has an abiding curiosity and multifaceted interest in avant-garde, classical, alternative and jewish music. On her debut CD "Mosaic" she recorded jewish master pieces for violin and piano. She has been an advocate of jewish music since her childhood and has been captivating audiences in the most prestigious Synagogues throughout Hungary. A regular, close collaborater with Ádám Kondor and other living composers, Ms. Korcsolán is a passionate presenter of contemporary music, premiering new and unusual works. Ms. Korcsolan studied at The Juilliard School in New York with Dorothy DeLay. While in New York, she won the Dorothy DeLay Scholarship Award as well as the Cornelius Vander Star Scholarship Award.
